HISTORY

Chiswick & Latymer Cricket Club was formed in October 1999 as a result of the merger of Old Meadonians CC and Old Latymerians CC. The newly merged club has thrived, creating an enjoyable atmosphere for both competitive and friendly cricket. Although originally based upon 2 schools the club is totally open and is proud of the wide geographical backgrounds of our members.

The club has bases at the Old Latymerians Sports Club, Whitton and in Chiswick House; the former homes of the two previous clubs. We field four Saturday sides in the Morrants Thames Valley League, providing a wide ranging level of opposition and excellent facilities at all levels. We have our share of success too, with wins in the Sunday leagues and generally one of the Saturday sides being promoted.

The club also fields two sides in the Thameside Sunday League. By regularly fielding two sides on Sundays, the club also plays an equal amount of good friendly cricket against local sides.

Another of the club's strengths is its expanding colts section. With teams based at both Whitton and Chiswick, groups are run for all ages from Under 8 to Under 15, under the guidance of ECB qualified, CRB checked coaches. The club runs indoor nets through the winter for seniors and colts and has outdoor nets at our Whitton ground and at Chiswick School throughout the summer. The club is fond of tours and in addition to tours in England has been to Corfu, Goa and to Australia. Apart from the annual dinner we have regular Bar-B-Q’s and other social events.

So whether you're looking to play regular League cricket or the occasional friendly, we would love to hear from you!
